Because sometimes a yummy dessert is the best birthday cake! I made an opera cake for my mother-in-law's birthday this year. If you have never tried an opera cake before it is 3 layers of coffee soaked almond cake alternating with chocolate and espresso buttercream filling and then topped with a rich chocolate glaze. It is delicious!!

Yummy Opera Cake!
Because sometimes a yummy dessert is the best birthday cake! I made an opera cake for my mother-in-law's birthday this year.
